Rothienorman Substation by SSE plc and Siemens Energy, located east of Aberdeen, is a crucial component of the Moray East Power Renewal Program. The construction of this substation by BAM UK & Ireland commenced in 2019 and is an integral part of the program’s efforts to enhance power infrastructure in the region.
As part of the substation’s development, Stratec Group, provided Bentonite Geosynthetic Clay liners for the two detention basins associated with the surface water catchment ponds. These liners play a vital role in managing surface water and ensuring environmental sustainability around the substation site.
