Geocells are cellular confinement systems made from permeable Geotextile material. They’re used in applications such as erosion control, ground reinforcement, load platforms and tree root protection and as well as slope and embankment stabilisation.
Geocell explained: Geocell is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polyester or other polymer material. It comes in the form of expandable panels in a honeycomb formation.
Geocell is a long-term solution designed to prevent soil mitigation and protect the ground from soil erosion. It’s typically used on steep slopes, embankments, or drainage ditches and can also be used in tree root protection.
Once Geocell has been laid and backfilled, it produces a uniform layer of soil across the ground. This protects the ground from soil erosion even in heavy rain, snow, or wind. It also encourages sustainable drainage of water and the establishment of vegetation.
We stock Geocell in different depths to suit a range of different site conditions.
To discover how Geocell can offer a sustainable solution to your ground quality challenges simply tell our specialist team about your next project. We’re here to help.
